Bob Eschliman is a lifelong Iowan, Navy veteran, journalist, husband, father, and grassroots conservative who has spent more than three decades serving his community with clarity, conviction, and integrity. His journey has taken him from knocking doors as a teenager to national political reporting — and through every chapter, one theme has remained constant: a commitment to speaking truth boldly and standing up for what’s right.

Rooted in Iowa, Shaped by Service
Bob’s political engagement began early. As a high‑school sophomore, he volunteered for local campaigns, learning firsthand that sincerity and showing up matter. Those early experiences taught him how to listen — not just to words, but to the heartbeat of a community.
After graduation, Bob enlisted in the United States Navy, earning the rank of Petty Officer before his 19th birthday. Stationed at Naval Training Center Orlando, he found himself unexpectedly advocating for the base during federal review visits. He wasn’t a decision‑maker — just a young sailor telling the truth plainly — but the experience shaped him.
“Standing there, explaining why the base mattered, I learned how powerful simple facts can be when they’re delivered without spin.”
Even though the base ultimately closed, Bob walked away with a lifelong conviction: you don’t always choose the outcome, but you always choose your integrity.

Grassroots Leadership & Local Stewardship
Returning home to Iowa, Bob dove into local activism — serving on county central committees, chairing caucuses, and helping shape party platforms. While serving as student body president at DMACC Boone Campus, he worked with fellow leaders to bring transparency to student activity fees. The following year, misuse of funds was uncovered

That experience cemented Bob’s belief that stewardship — not ambition — is the heart of good governance.

A Career in Journalism Built on Truth
As a newspaper journalist and later an editor, Bob developed a reputation for asking tough but fair questions. He learned how to separate noise from substance and how to communicate with clarity in a world that thrives on confusion.
His work took him to Wisconsin, where he helped launch a conservative political news magazine, and later back to Iowa, where his straightforward commentary resonated with readers who were tired of spin.

A Defining Stand for Faith
One of the most pivotal moments in Bob’s life came when he lost his job for publicly defending his Christian faith. It was a season of deep challenge — but also deep clarity.
“When you stand for truth, you will face opposition… but you will also experience God’s faithfulness in ways you never imagined.”
Represented by First Liberty Institute, Bob’s case drew national attention and strengthened his resolve to speak biblical truth without apology.

National Reporting, Grassroots Insight, and a Math-Driven Lens
As Bob moved into national political reporting, he gained a wider view of American politics — seeing patterns, momentum shifts, and media blind spots that others missed. His math background became a powerful tool for cutting through spin and understanding what was really happening beneath the surface.
In 2016, his Electoral College projection missed the final result by fewer than 15 votes. In 2024, his projection was 100% accurate.
But numbers were only part of the story. The other part was staying connected to Iowa’s grassroots — the people who show up, volunteer, and drive the movement.

A Calling, Not a Campaign
In 2026, Bob ran for Iowa Senate District 19. He ran hard, ran honestly, and lost in the primary. But losing didn’t silence him — it clarified his mission.
“Losing an election doesn’t mean losing your purpose… In my case, it clarified why I’m here and what I’m supposed to be doing next.”
That clarity led to The BobCast, a podcast dedicated to truth, transparency, grassroots insight, and biblical conviction.
